John Oubre, D.D.S. and Matthew Oubre D.D.S. and their staff desire to give their patients the best orthodontic care available. At Oubre Orthodontics, conveniently located in Lafayette, Louisiana, everyone is highly trained and experienced, which is just the beginning of what our office has to offer!
Meet Our Doctors
Since 1982, Dr. John Oubre has been providing his patients with exceptional comprehensive orthodontic care. Highly educated, he graduated from Louisiana State University’s dental school in 1980, and in 1982, he earned his orthodontic degree from there as well.
A Diplomat of the American Board of Orthodontics since 1988, Dr. Oubre feels it is important to stay on the cutting-edge of orthodontics. Thus, he maintains memberships in many prestigious professional organizations to keep up-to-date on the latest techniques and technology. He has been a member of the American Association of Orthodontics since 1982, and he is a past president of the Louisiana Association of Orthodontics. He is currently in the Roth Study Group and a member of Roth Williams International Society of Orthodontics.
In his personal life, Dr. Oubre is married to Jeannie Wedemeyer who also has her dental degree. They have five children: Michael, Matthew, Thomas, Olivia and James. Away from the office, Dr. Oubre enjoys playing golf and participating in his children’s many activities.
Meet Our Staff
Kelly joined the practice in 2005. She received her degree from LSUE before joining the practice. During her time with Dr. Oubre she has learned and mastered many other positions within the office. Kelly is cross trained in treatment coordinator, records, sterilization and front desk. Kelly acts as the Treatment/Marketing Facilitator. When asked she states, " My greatest satisfaction come from helping our patients achieve wonderful smiles."
Kelly enjoys shopping, spending time with her husband, family and friends.
Lisa joined our practice in 2013. She is a big asset to our front desk. Lisa's positive attitude, contagious smile, and excellent phone skills allows our patients to know they are her top priority while making them feel welcome, secure and relaxed.
When Lisa is not working she enjoys spending time with her grandchildren, reading books, and enjoying time with her girlfriends.
Tina joined Dr. Oubre's practice in February 2013. She comes to our office with over 24 years of accounting experience. She will join our scheduling coordinators and will be the eye of our front desk. She loves helping people and is comfortable with getting our patients scheduled while greeting each person who may walk in our door.
Lisa enjoys flowers, making beautiful jewelry, spending time with her two kids and her husband.
